Sleeping Area Requirement
The San Francisco Fire Department requires many existing fire alarm systems to be upgraded to meet new regulations, including NFPA 72®, "Sleeping Area Requirement", the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code®. A full upgrade was mandated by July 1, 2023.

ERRCS / ERCES CERTIFICATION
Per the 2022 SFFC Section 510.6.1.2: Building owners are required to obtain a certificate for all existing ERRCS systems in order to fulfill 2022 San Francisco Fire Code Sections, 510.1.1, 510.6.1.1, 510.6.1.2 SFFD 2022 AB # 2.01 Addendum G, 2022 NFPA 1225
